Mavrud Vinica is made from 100% Mavrud Grape (indigenous Bulgarian variety). The grapes that make up this unique wine were dried on straw mats for 3 months before fermentation, concentrating and softening the sugars and flavours, so it is bound to stand comparison to Amarone. “It is long on every sort of phenolic you could think of – colour, tannin, flavour”,”The fruit is fresh, clean and appetising and someone clearly knows how to make wine here” (article written by Jancis Robinson, Master of Wine). Vinica Mavrud, vintage 2013 will be officially produced Organically, according to the European directives for organic production
